Scott Becker for Judge

Dear Friends,

WE DID IT!  Thank you all for help and prayers over this long campaign.  Tuesday, April 13th was the culmination of a lot of amazing effort from so many people.  I cannot begin to name all of you but please know how much I appreciate all each of you have done!

I want to also thank Angela Tucker and her campaign team.  Angela ran a solid race and was gracious when the results came in!  I commend her and know she will continue to serve the Bar honorably.  Angela provided stiff competition and made the process better by pushing me to work harder.  I know she will be watching to make sure I continue to work just as hard once I take the bench.  For that I am grateful.

I plan to remain at the DA’s Office for the rest of the year as Judge Henderson’s term does not expire until the end of 2010.  I will also look for opportunities to continue to observe the other judges and meet with them when they have time.  I want to continue learning all the way up until I take the bench.  Once I get there, the learning process will not stop.  To serve the people well, I must always keep abreast of changes in the law.

Over the next few months I may update this site to let you know what else I am doing to prepare for the honor of serving you the citizens of Collin County.  However, in the next few days I can tell you I am going to give my lovely wife some more help at home.  She has been amazing throughout this campaign and deserves a break.

Thank you all again and I look forward to humbly serving you as the next judge of the 219th!

                                                Sincerely,

Scott J. Becker
